De Queeste (“The Quest”) is a picture of three farmers who evaluate the present food system as non-future-proof. They wish to do it better. Better for the farmers, better for the food, better for biodiversity, better for the planet. On their quest, they enter into dialogue with colleagues and experts, who show how this food system came into existence, and which possible solutions one can think of.

The documentary screened at numerous theatres across the Netherlands. In addition, it was used by various agricultural, governing, and sustainability-minded organisations for internal use, opening up conversations on the future of our food system. It was selected for the Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam (WFFR) and nominated for an Awareness Award. In 2025, the documentary also screened on television.
